Each day, the streets are filled with visitors from around the globe. Street performers dazzle passersby, vendors sell their wares and the scent of nicois cuisine fills the air. This long-running Carnaval celebration is in its 123rd year.

It can be amazing to see the crowds spill onto the Promenade des Anglais along the beach, or in the Place Massena hub of the city. This is also a wonderful time to visit Nice to get a break from winter, as the temperatures are quite mild in Nice considering it's February.

Getting Tickets to Nice Carnaval 2008 Events

Many of the festivities surrounding Nice Carnaval are free, but there are charges for the parades. Most cost 10 euros for basic entry, but the Parade of Lights costs 25 euros.

You can actually order your parade tickets now, and you might consider doing that to be sure you get into at least a couple parades. You can order Nice Carnaval tickets online at the official site.

They can be delivered to your home, or picked up at the Nice Tourism Office (very easy to locate on the Promenade des Anglais).
